All-State Career occupies a 38,000 square foot facility located at 50 West Powhattan Avenue, Essington, PA, 19029. A student Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers the LIRN system that is available with high-speed internet access, computer stations, web-based resources. Additionally, the LRC houses health reference books, and periodicals. Nursing labs include hospital beds, mannequins, training models, simulation equipment, and camera recording systems. Medical labs are equipped with stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, EKG machines, surgical instruments, examination tables, and injection arms/skins. The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant program has operatory functional clinics including a sterilization center, dental materials clinic with lab, front office training area, panoramic x-ray machine, intra-oral x-ray heads, and a darkroom. The Hygiene Lab is in Suite E of the Main Campus and has 11 fully functioning operatory stations, a sterilization area, and an administrative area. The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC-R) program has a dedicated area which includes labs with a boiler, oil furnaces, electric furnaces, gas furnaces, air conditioning units, refrigeration units, and a tool storage area. The Welding Lab facilitates SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, oxy-fuel cutting/welding/braising, plasma cutting and jet arc training.
The Commercial Driving training vehicles are divided into two categories: range vehicles and road vehicles. The range of vehicles are made up of older conventional and day-cab tractors, single and dual axle. The trailers are 45’ and 48’ with single and tandem axles. These tractors and trailers are restricted to use on the range. The Driving Range is located off-site and is an approved Satellite location at 1 Stadium Drive, Chester, PA 19013 that provides students with the range of vehicles that meet all the requirements to properly train a student in his/her backing skills. The road vehicles are late model conventional tractors with 48’ tandem axle dry box trailers. Each unit has been converted to safely train up to four (4) students on each road trip. Several of the trailers are loaded with 15,000lbs or more of “cargo” to give the student experience of driving a loaded trailer. Road trips are pre- planned to provide the student with the experience of driving on the intercity, urban roads, and inter-state highways. All road units meet or exceed D.O.T. standards.
The lecture rooms have internet connectivity, media carts, and digital projectors to enhance the lectures with access to specialized medical web sites and use of web-based materials. There is a student lounge with vending machines and microwaves. All-State Career also uses the offices and laboratories of local physicians, clinics, healthcare facilities and hospitals to provide on-the-job experiences for students. Administrative offices include student services, career services, financial aid, registrar, admissions, and bookkeeping. There is a faculty workroom and faculty offices for student conferences. The facility is handicapped accessible.
